Stop Comparing Me!

The New England Patriots are the Super Bowl champs and what a game it was! Tom Brady led the Patriots to victory after being down by as much as 25 heading into half time. This super bowl ring makes it five for Brady and two super bowl victories in the last three years.

Tom Brady did struggle in the first half; throwing an interception that led to a touchdown by the Falcons. The Patriots are known for playing well after first half of games. The Falcons scored only one touchdown in the second half. Brady led the Patriots on a remarkable second half comeback.

Dan Quinn (Falcons Head Coach) has now lost to the Patriots twice, both loses were due to a Tom Brady last minute touchdown. Dan Quinn lost to the Patriots in the super bowl when he was a member of the Seattle Seahawks back in 2014 but this lost will hurt more especially after being up by 25.

Brady holds the record for most wins by a starting Quarterback in the postseason and super bowl victories. He led the Patriots to the largest comeback victory in super bowl history. He is the greatest Quarterback of all time. There has been a lot of great Quarterbacks in the history of football but there is no comparing Tom Brady to the others anymore.

“You must be new”

The New England Patriots will be going to their 9th super bowl in team history. This will be the 7th time for Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. The Patriots won the super bowl two years ago and the current roster still has a lot  players that won the super bowl back in 2014. Tom Brady has four super bowl rings already and will be going for his 5th.

This offseason, the Patriots signed Chris Long and Marcellus Bennett to their roster. Chris Long was drafted by the St. Louis Rams back in 2008; and we all know how that went. When Long was on the Rams, they never made the playoffs or had a winning season. The same goes for Marcellus Bennett, he has been on multiple teams but has never been to the playoffs or had a winning season.

Joining the New England Patriots gave these players hope. The Patriots have been in the playoffs for about 11 straight years and recently just won a super bowl.

After the Patriots beat the Steelers in the AFC Championship game last week, the players were happy and excited about going to the super bowl again. What caught my attention was how much Chris Long and Marcellus Bennett were celebrating. To think; they have never been to the playoffs before and will be going to the super bowl for the first time.

I wonder how happy they will be once they win the super bowl. Both Chris Long and Marcellus Bennett are on one year deals but I would be very surprised if they decide not to come back to the New England Patriots. Being on bad teams for most of their career, i dont think they want to go back to playing for teams like that. Talk about never being in a super bowl before; none of the Atlanta Falcons players have been in a super bowl before. Their a young team and New England is a veteran team. Dan Quinn, Atlanta’s head coach is the only one that has been to a super bowl before. He was the Seattle Seahawks’s defensive coordinator when the Seahawks played the New England Patriots. The Seahawks lost to the Patriots, so we will see how this game goes. I’m all for Marcellus Bennett and Chris Long winning their first super bowl rings.

Best Quarterback of All Time!

New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady is already one of the greatest Quarterbacks of all time. Perhaps the best draft pick ever. The former 6th round back in the 2000 draft by the New England Patriots. Tom Brady beat the odds and became a starter for the Patriots. New England’s starting Quarterback at the time was Drew Bledsoe. Bledsoe got injured during a game back in 2001 and Tom Brady became the starter. We all know what happened after that. Brady turns 40 in August and is still playing at a high level.

Tom Brady has played in six super bowls and has won four of them. Would have won all six games if it was not for incredible catches by the New York Giants players in each super bowl lost. The most recent super bowl win was in the 2014 season against the Seattle Seahawks. Brady won his first three super bowls he played in but had lost his previous two super bowls; both to Eli Manning and the New York Giants.

New England Patriots has been dominating their division since Tom Brady took the starting Quarterback job. Brady has played in 264 career game and has won 201; which is the all-time record for most wins as a Quarterback. Tom Brady has won 14 division titles since 2001. That is an NFL record for any starting Quarterback.

This weekend, the New England Patriots will be playing the Pittsburgh Steelers for the AFC Championship game. Winner of the game advances to the super bowl to play either the Atlanta Falcons or Green Bay Packers. Tom Brady is looking to become the only Quarterback in NFL history to win five super bowls and will be starting in his 7th super bowl with a victory over Pittsburgh Steelers.
